Our client combines chemistry, technology and ingenuity to make high performance wood products that are extremely durable and stable, with excellent sustainability credentials.
With over 250 employees, they have products on every continent, and sell into many countries around the world. They currently have one main site in the Netherlands, and they are in the process of building a new plant in Hull, UK and also in the USAA new opening has been identified for a Sales Manager to join their team.
This role is a mix of Customer Management, Business Development and Sales
A commercial chemicals background is a strong preference for this specialist role but not essential
Salary:
c£60,000 per annum + annual bonus

Role Summary
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Help ensure minimum net cost of Group operations.
Seek to maximise sales opportunities and value for co-product acetic acid
Be responsible for acetic acid contract negotiations within the Group utilizing other internal resources as appropriate, and interacting with distributors, end customers, and joint venture partners
Work closely with Supply Chain team to ensure successful execution of contracts at all group sites coordinating external logistics and aligning with available supply from the company sites
Working with our technology teams, contribute to commercial prioritisation and action plans for acetic acid clean-up
Qualification / Experience Requirements
Bachelors' degree or higher preferred
Commercial chemicals experience a strong advantage
Sound commercial judgement and proven track record in similar roles in which competence in understanding and evaluating technical or engineering propositions has been required
History of international client relationship management
Self-motivated with high achievement drive and initiative
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
React positively to challenges, and cope with pressure of work
Ability and desire to travel within Europe as part of the role
