  • We are recruiting for a temporary Student Fees Administrator to work at one of out centrally based departments starting ASAP for approx. 12 weeks working 36.5 hrs p/w and paying £15.60 p/h + Holiday pay.
  • Duties:
  • Liaise with different Teams to ensure the smooth running of the administrative and logístical arrangements for teaching delivery.
  • Act as first point of contact for undergraduate students and responding directly
where appropriate or referring to line manager or other relevant colleagues.

  • Use initiative to assess and resolve problems/queries from students and staff, or to escalate them where appropriate.
  • Manage course materials in digital print form and on Canvas, the University's Virtual Learning Environment, and organising teaching venues and lecturers for programmed teaching activities.
  • Keep up to date with and disseminate information relating to student regulations and policies, reviewing and adapting policy and practice in response.
  • Maintain files on shared drive according to agreed team process.
  • Assist in training the Postgraduate Administration Officer on the basics of the Undergraduate Administration Officer role to ensure team crosscover.
  • Organise and participate in committee meetings, producing agendas, minutes and other required information where directed.
  • Essential Criteria:
  • English and Maths at GCSE pass level
  • Ability to communicate clearly, sensitively, and accurately both verbally and in writing with a variety of stakeholders from undergraduate students to senior managers within the University and patients, clinical staff and support staff at all levels within the NHS
  • Experience of prioritising a varied workload
  • Experience of producing accurate, detailed work within deadlines
  • Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision
  • Flexibility, with the ability to switch between tasks as required, and to adapt working practices including adopting new technologies/software in line with policy changes/new opportunities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Demonstrable commitment to continuous process review & improvement
  • Resilience to deal calmly and competently with unexpected situations
