- Attend meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills in supporting students with special educational needs.
- Proven experience as a SEND Teacher, preferably in a similar temporary capacity, with a strong understanding of different special educational needs and disabilities.
- Knowledge of the relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in SEND education.
- Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt instructional strategies to meet individual needs.
- Familiarity with a range of teaching resources, assistive technologies, and interventions for supporting students with SEND.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and external professionals.
- Strong organizational skills to manage and document individual student progress, assessments, and interventions.
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to support students' social and emotional development.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work with a diverse range of students and their unique needs.
