Our successful team of more than 250 professionalsis rapidly growing across all areas including financial outsourcing, financial reporting, payroll and company secretarial.


Job Purpose This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded individual to help deliver management accounting and advisory solutions to our expanding client base in both the mid market and SME space. The role is also key to inspire and coach the team to bethe best they can be.


Role & Responsibilities
1. Delivery portfolio (80%)

  • To manage a portfolio of privately owned clients and ensure the provision of the highest quality outsourced finance function.
  • Build strong and enduring relationships with key clients as part of key account management.
  • Inspire and coach the team to deliver excellent levels of client service.
  • Ensure that you and the team have a culture of continuous development and learning both in technical and nontechnical areas.
  • Review the work produced by the team on a monthly/quarterly basis and ensure it is of the highest quality and that learning points for the team are actioned.
  • Ensure the team understand the client's business and that we are providing insight on their results and areas for improvement.
  • Actively support the adoption of new software for all clients and ensure effective implementation to enhance team productivity.
  • Drive gross margin profitability through streamlining and enhancement of processes on an ongoing basis. #

2. Development of outsourcing business (20%)

  • Work with new prospects to understand their requirements and to prepare proposals for new business.
  • To build relationships with existing clients in order to identify opportunities to pitch for new work.
  • Work with other departments (e.g. tax, corporate finance and MFP) to ensure all of Mazars' services are strongly coordinated and opportunities identified.
  • Contribute to the wider National AOS initiatives and projects particularly the sector alignment though participation in cross service line sector meetings and initiatives.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:


  • Appropriate accounting qualification
  • FCCA / ACA / CIMA
  • Ability to work well in a team, with strong people and time management skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Passionate about technology, having a curious attitude and looking to maximise efficiencies through the use of technology
  • Experience of reviewing work produced by the team on a monthly/quarterly basis and ensure it is of the highest quality and that learning points for the team are actioned.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (helpful but not essential)
  • Experience of managing a portfolio of clients (helpful but not essential)
