    Food & Beverage Assistant - Utilita Arena, Newcastle

    Purpose

    Supporting the Food and Beverage Department with a variety of administrative duties as well supporting the delivery of the F&B training strategy and any other ad-hoc duties.

    Responsibilities

  • Humanforce- Creating schedules, offering shifts out to staff, approving timesheets and pay runs ready to be sent to payroll.
  • Deal with individual pay queries relating to hours worked and liaise with the payroll department where required.
  • Support with the signing in of staff on event days and helping to allocate staff to their designated locations according to the resource plan.
  • Where bars maybe under resourced on an event night due to the non-attendance of staff you will be required to co-ordinate and re-allocate resource to support successful service delivery.
  • Support in the development of training content and the delivery of content as part of the F&B Training strategy to include identifying development plans for individuals that can be organically grown into casual supervisors or manager roles within the F&B department.
  • Support in maintaining accurate records of training completion so that renewal training can be identified and completed in a timely manner to ensure we remain compliant with F&B legislation.
  • Support with the F&B recruitment activities to include the shortlisting of candidates, arranging interviews and ensuring all successful candidates have fully completed application forms and the correct right of work documentation before sending to the HR team for processing.
  • Working with the Retail and Hospitality Executives, you will co-ordinate and implement training plans for all Casual staff on events and classroom-based training.
  • Ensure that all relevant paperwork is prepared for events for both retail and premium area's.
  • Support with inductions of new starters ensuring that records of all inductions carried out.
  • Updating all menu boards and menus for the retail and premium operations.
  • Support the Head Chef with administrative duties to include data inputting for menus.
  • Support the F&B department and business in its sustainability focus.
  • Support the Head of F&B in the production of ad-hoc operational reports.
  • Support on event nights on an ad-hoc basis if required.
