Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) with a proven track record in navigating complex manufacturing environments, ideally within the hardware and/or chemical processing industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong engineering background and an in-depth understanding of process industries, including chemical processes and hardware assembly. The COO will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, managing systems development, spearheading digital transformation initiatives, and fostering business growth and scalability. Additionally, a background in consumer products will be advantageous for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Manufacturing Expertise: Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. Utilise engineering background to optimize production processes and streamline workflows.
• Process Industry Knowledge: Demonstrate proficiency in chemical industry dynamics, including understanding the nuances of chemical processes and hardware assembly.
• Strategic Planning and Development: Develop and execute strategic plans to align operational activities with organizational goals. Lead Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes to optimize inventory management and production scheduling.
• Business Growth and Scalability: Collaborate with executive team members to identify growth opportunities and expand market presence. Develop scalable business models and operational frameworks to support growth initiatives.
• Leadership and Team Development: Provide inspirational leadership to cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development to keep pace with industry advancements and market dynamics.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the chemical or hardware industries.
• Strong understanding of process industries, including chemical processes and hardware assembly.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
• Track record of driving digital transformation initiatives and managing systems development projects.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead teams through periods of change and growth.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Background in consumer products industry is highly desirable.
