Salary:
National ranging from £38,300 to £44,000 and London from £40,700 to £46,000

The team/department


The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for the implementation of the FCA procurement strategy including operational and tactical sourcing projects or contract renewals with moderate complexity and risk.


You will be responsible for managing FCA's external supplier spend, driving breakthrough results for FCA through effective development and delivery of sourcing and contracting strategies.

What you will be doing (the role)- Direct responsibility for delivery of sourcing and contracting strategies across a portfolio of categories and suppliers - including Market Research, Marketing and Professional Services - which deliver best in market and innovative solutions for the business- Responsible for the delivery of all low risk/complexity sourcing activity, including RFx, supplier negotiations and contracting, ensuring compliance with FCA sourcing policy and minimum standards and alignment with business strategy- Demonstrate through all sourcing activities and commercial negotiations knowledge of markets and sophisticated commercial acumen- Utilise and promote across the category all FCA procurement systems as required and deliver procurement projects in line with the FCA procurement process and standards

The skills and experience you will have

Minimum- Evidence of an understanding of how end-to-end procurement processes work, including scoping business requirements, creating project plans, creating tender documentation, and adhering to project governance- Demonstrable evidence of running simple procurement processes - including liaising with stakeholders, issuing tenders, evaluating and creation of contract documents from templates- Previous experience of using procurement/purchasing systems

Essential- Interpersonal skills to communicate information succinctly in an organised and appropriate manner both verbally and in wring at all levels- Dealing with a broad range of internal functions such as legal, finance, risk, IT and specialist functions- Knowledge of non-IT categories, including Market Research, Marketing and Professional Services would be beneficial- Ability to discuss business scope of requirements and specification design and seek support where believed to be a more valued option- Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal, negotiating and presentation skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise- Focus on detail and commitment to excellent customer service
