Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer - Midlands with UK coverage


Due to winning a new major account, we are seeking to appoint a Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer, to work as part of a team in the UK focused primarily on this new customer.

The engineer must be competent in all aspects of Fire alarm Installation/Commissioning in line with British standards BS and our client's specific requirements, whilst providing all completed documentation in a timely and accurate manner


Responsibilities

  • Minor Installs and Commissioning of Fire systems both Conventional and Addressable.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers and project coordinator when planning/ completing site visits
  • Maintain your stock levels with support from the stores person.
  • Attend training sessions as and when required.
  • Identify any personal training and development needs to help you provide the best possible customer service.
  • Attend Engineering team meetings as and when required.
  • Site attendances.
  • Commissioning/handover and training.
  • Completing RAMS, Progress reports and O&M Documentation.
  • Selfmotivated and able to organise workload, with the ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Good Time Management is Key, working closely with the Project Manager to obtain the key skills required to achieve this.
  • Good computer skills and the ability to configure software for fire system commissioning.
  • Personal responsibility to ensure systems are commissioned/handed over in accordance with current standards and practices and project costs are delivered in line with departmental budgets.

About you
We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic individual that relish's a challenging environment. You must have good communication skills and technical knowledge of large fire alarm systems and projects.

  • Technical background in Fire system maintenance and fault finding
  • Good all round knowledge of analogue and conventional Fire Systems
  • Experience of engineering projects across single and multiple site locations.
  • The ability to Adapt to any situation
  • Experience of front line customer contact preferred
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Professional and presentable at all times
  • Be able to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Must be able to perform well as an individual as well as part of a team
  • Upward reporting techniques
  • Ability to perform well as an individual as well as part of a team
  • Full driving Licence required.
