Job Overview:


The Finance Assistant is responsible for providing administration support and general assistance to the finance team, in respect of supplier accounts and purchasing activities.

Plus some support regarding Customer accounts and Cash Allocation.


Duties:


  • Matching of Purchase invoices on Progress Plus to GRN
  • Migrating invoice data from Progress to Sage 50
  • Credit card management
  • Post Paypal
  • To produce month end accrual reports relating to Goods received not invoiced and Purchase invoice accruals
  • To raise debit notes to suppliers as required for short deliveries or rejects
  • Supplier statement recs as required
  • Any other work, as may be required, in relation to supplier accounts and liaison with purchasing
  • Allocating Cash
  • Raising new Supplier/Customer accounts where required
  • Take payment from Customers via phone

Additional Duties

  • Provide absence cover for Senior Sales and Credit Controller activities, where possible and as required
  • Responding to finance calls from reception

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaison with suppliers as required to resolve queries
  • Liaison with the Purchasing department to resolve queries
  • To manage month end procedures for purchase ledger

Experience:


  • Previous experience in a similar role is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Job Types:

Salary:
£12.75-£14.35 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
