Unique opportunity to be part of a Major Project team developing and delivering Major Infrastructure schemes, including the development of billion pound+ reservoir projects
Anglian Water are developing two new strategic reservoirs for the region in the RAPID process: the Lincolnshire Reservoir and Fens Reservoir.
These multi-billion-pound projects are nationally significant infrastructure projects and are being developed this AMP so that they are ready to start on site this decade and be in supply in AMP9.
Along with this, the Major Infrastructure team will also be working to deliver exciting new Major Projects, including the Cambridge Waste Water Treatment Plant Relocation Project.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Major Projects Commercial Lead to join the team on a permanent basis.
The position is a great opportunity for someone to shape and lead the commercial functions for our Major Projects, as part of our Major Infrastructure Commercial Team.
What will you be doing?Accountable for the development and/or subsequent implementation of commercial functions for Major Projects
Defines the commercial strategy, ensuring this is aligned to AW goals and ODI's
Ensures Major Projects have the highest levels of commercial integrity and holds accountability for implementing self-assurance
Accountable for financial profile of each project
Stewardship of AW's contractual and commercial position and ensures transparent, accurate and timely reporting
Acts as commercial interface with client, partner organisations & strategic stakeholders
Leads on development of any appropriate wider supply chain and frameworks for materials and services
Ensures adherence to internal governance to satisfy contractual and legal requirements
Leads on any commercial dispute resolutions
Continuously seeks and implements best commercial management methodologies
Identifies and proactively mitigates commercial risk
Fosters close working relationships with the wider business that may need to be involved in commercial workstream

What does it take to be a Major Projects Commercial Lead?
Educated to degree level in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or equivalent
Evidence of on-going leadership development and relevant personal development
Experience in similar role at a strategic or senior level
Working across complex matrix teams
Success at creating an aligned culture focussed on high performance
Adept in use of standard forms of contract and developing commercial strategies
