Summary:


The HR Advisor will be based within our Loughborough site reporting into the HR Manager and will provide a high quality service to the business for the area they support.

The HR Advisor will collaborate with people leaders on a range of items including colleague engagement, attendance management, development & succession, performance management and discipline & grievance.


Core Responsibilities:


  • Provide HR advice and support on a wide range of strategic and operational HR issues to the relevant stakeholders and more widely across the business when required.
  • Provide advice on HR policies, remuneration, working hours, terms & conditions of employment, procedures and best practices.
  • Facilitate the management of all disciplinary and employment law related situations.
  • Work with managers and colleagues on mechanisms to improve engagement, morale and increase retention.
  • Support on local colleague engagement initiatives.
  • Oversee and deliver management of local consultation exercises (e.g., redundancies, TUPE, etc).
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports, analysing data as required (e.g. analysis of wage offer implications etc.) to analyse trends and metrics to assist decision making and improvements in all areas of HR.
  • Support managers and facilitate the case management of absence cases to assist colleagues in their return to work.
  • Assist with the coordination of effective goal setting, review of performance and bonus/merit/pay adjustment processes.
  • Coordinate the management of recognition or reward programs.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:


  • HR experience in a busy Manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Appropriate case management at all disciplinary stages, up to and including ET's and all associated legal activities.
  • Experience of developing partnerships with senior stakeholders and HR team across various locations.
  • Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices.
  • Proven experience of managing complex employee relations issues and casework and managing conflict.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills while exercising sensitivity to the audience is required.
  • Able to work with and maintain high levels of confidentiality, resilience and calmness under pressure.
  • High level of professionalism, sense of urgency and demonstrated ability to work under pressure and multitask effectively.
  • Selfstarter and ability to manage own workload.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and webbrowsers.
