    We are looking for an individual who will provide strategic leadership for a new corporate business support function that that will deliver essential enabler services to all services of the council.

    The new service will include the council's Contact Centre and you will be responsible for developing, leading, managing and ensuring the effective delivery of first-line customer services to the public across multiple platforms, as well as providing corporate leadership and support for strategic planning, information governance, performance management, quality assurance, administration and digital service design.

    You will have experience of leading in a change environment and providing effective management and coordination of corporate activities and council-wide change and improvement programmes. This should include experience of developing corporate policies, strategies and procedures.

    You will be creative and pro-active in developing services in response to customer and business needs and will have a proven track record of working in partnership with both internal and external stakeholders and agencies to drive performance improvement. You will also be required to lead on the development of strategies and approaches that will help to maximise council effectiveness through analytics, service design, learning and improvement.

    You must be able to influence and facilitate discussion with the council's Corporate Management Team on the functional areas of responsibility within the remit of the post to ensure arrangements are in place to support continuous improvement, effective governance and regulatory compliance across all council services.
