    Description

    We are looking for a Scientist who is innovative and agile to join us in our Biological Formulation Development Team , based in our research and development site in Slough, UK .

    The Biological Formulation Development (BFD) group, part of UCB BioTechnology Sciences department, plays an essential role in supporting all ongoing projects by supplying efficient formulations for all stages of the monoclonal antibody development process from Toxicology studies to Phase 3 Clinical studies.

    We are seeking a high calibre primarily lab-based scientist, highly skilled in formulation development and protein/antibody analysis (eg. HPLC/UPLC, iCE, UV spectroscopy, DLS, CGE, rheology, sub-visible particle analysis) with automation experience and willing to expand his/her knowledge in automation.

    Successful candidates will be joining a dynamic team interacting cross-functionally with different departments throughout the product development and lifecycle and be able to apply their skills to influence projects.

    Being an expert in the physico-chemical properties as well as in the formulation strategies of monoclonal antibodies.
    Awareness of technical advances within the industry and implementation where applicable
    Supporting role for generation of quality documentation to ensure inspection readiness for audit/inspection by regulatory agencies.
    Applicants should have a Masters (or equivalent) or PhD (or equivalent), in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology or similar.

    Strong formulation and analytical experience within the biopharmaceutical industry, as well as a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of the issues and challenges related to taking products coming from research through development as well as of the associated clinical manufacturing processes.

    High level of numeracy and the ability to critically evaluate data
