Our Role
As a Metering Supervisor, you will be responsible for resources who install meters and associated equipment/assets, both internal and external to customers' properties.
You will supervise the Meter teams - ensuring that the work is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to our Client's expectations.

In addition to Health and Safety, customer service is critical to Yorkshire Water.You will ensure that work is carried out in a manner which builds the confidence of developers and adopts a 'right first time' approach.
Recognising developers have paid for mains laying and new supplies to their site / property, you will work with the relevant teams to ensure programmes are managed and delivered accordingly.
Satisfaction of customers is measured through a new regulatory measure called C-MeX.You will work closely with Yorkshire Water to influence a dramatic improvement in the C-MeX measure and show leadership skills to genuinely care about the ratings customers give of Network Plus's metering services.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for someone to:
- Have operational supervisory responsibility for a designated group of meter installation teams, and their daily activities
- Organise labour in the most costeffective way, including recruitment, disciplinary action, wages and absence management
- Manage all other resources e.g. materials and plant
- Ensure accurate information is captured of works undertaken, including photographs and meter asset details
- Regularly visit teams at local site level reviewing progress and performance and ensuring standards are adhered to
- Carry out team briefings with teams on a monthly basis; coaching and developing plumbers and operational teams to reach their potential
- Complete Team Inspections ensuring a high level of Compliance with a real focus on quality and right firsttime operational delivery
- Be a Health & Safety Representative; undertaking health & safety inspections in and around the workplace, raising health and safety related matters with management and investigating reportable accidents or incidents as and when they occur
Experience and Qualifications
- Experience of meter installation all types from domestic meters to industrial / commercial meters
- Relevant Qualifications in relation to the work being carried out i.e. NRWSA at supervisory level
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent IT skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
