Database Infrastucture Specialist
Location - London

Responsibilities:

Technical skills in SQL Server and Oracle to include database administration tasks such as maintenance and tuning, database architecture, concepts, and routine DBA maintenance.
Installs, configures, upgrades, patches, and operates databases to maintain availability and optimal performance.
Proactively identifies and assesses any issues, performs troubleshooting, researches solutions focusing on root cause.
Works handson as a team member covering all facets of database administration from installation to query and database tuning, as well as standards development, documentation, and working with other technical staff to ensure the database environment is robustand meets the customer's needs.
Ensures the proper use of indexes and other database objects to enable desired functionality.
Partners with developers to build expertise in tuning tools to ensure we are achieving acceptable performance level statistics.
Works with infrastructure teams to ensure database and operating system monitoring are providing a complete readiness view.
Performs analysis on and recommends quality complex solutions to information system infrastructure technology disciplines/components.
Provides continuous inputs in maintaining software development processes and standards.
Occasionally leads projects or tasks.
Works independently and efficiently with mínimal supervision.
May be required to work offhours and on weekends for projects and/or support.
Some travel may be required.

Core/Skill requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent required.
5 years of DBA experience with SQL Server 2016 or higher or Oracle 12c or higher
Experience with tuning PL/SQL or T-SQL in order to advise developers and be very comfortable with multiple operating systems (Windows 2016/2019, HP-UX and Linux) required.

Preferred Requirements:

Windows PowerShell scripting
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Reporting Services (SSRS), and Policy Management preferred.
Experience with SAP HANA
