    The BIM Manager will sit within the VIVO Defence Contracts Asset Management Team/Billable Works Team, which provides VIVO Defence Services with UK/contract wide support in the operational delivery of both maintenance and construction services, across various built and infrastructure asset types. The management of asset data is a fundamental part of the contract delivery requirements. Part of this is the implementation of VIVO's commitments to delivery BIM to ISO 19650 standards over the course of the contract.

    The Contract BIM Manager will be responsible for developing VIVO's digital capabilities, data management strategy and the delivery of our BIM commitments within VIVO's FDIS Contract Building Information Modelling Execution Plan. They will own the Contract BEP which will be continuously developed and amended to meet VIVO and DIO's evolving maturity and promote the benefits of digital ways of working, including working closely with the VIVO Digital and IT teams to implement new digital/IoT capabilities to bring efficiencies into our day-to-day ways of working.

    The principal role of the BIM manager will be to support the Billable Works teams in ensuring that projects run smoothly, and project information models are delivered on time. The role involves working closely with our supply chain partners in their capabilities to achieve the BIM delivery requirements as well as with the Commercial and Projects teams in the tendering of BIM projects, including tender documentation, BIM related RFI's, supplier BEP evaluations and post tender interviews and recommendations.

    You will also manage the communication of BIM strategy, documentation & workflows to stakeholders and produce monthly reports for senior managers, to identify and measure BIM implementation.

    What You Need To Do The Job

    First and foremost, you should be an experienced BIM Manager, with a degree level qualification in Architecture, Engineering, or Design, or have extensive appropriate working knowledge in this field.

    It is important that you have sound knowledge of infrastructure projects and a general technical ability, experience of the design, construction, and delivery of infrastructure projects and of managing BIM and digital information element of multi-disciplinary projects (delivery and operation), as well as experience of operating asset management against ISO or PAS Information Management using Building Information Modelling).

    You should have experience of using collaboration software like SharePoint (CDE) & Projectwise, Asite, Viewpoint 4 Projects, GliderBIM and authoring software such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Bentley.

    Strong communication skills are essential, as well as good commercial awareness and the capacity to modify strategy and technical needs to meet client/project/practice objectives.

    You will need to hold a full UK driving licence and be able to pass SC Clearance to be considered for this role.
