Our client, a prominent private equity firm specializing in investments in high-growth entrepreneurial ventures, is seeking to add a Corporate M&A / Private Equity Lawyer to its team. With specialized teams and dedicated capital, the firm operates across diverse sectors, aiding businesses in advancing to the next stage of growth through various means including M&A, international expansion, digital enhancement, talent development, commercial strategy, and access to global networks.

The role will report directly to the General Counsel and play a pivotal role in advising deal teams. This includes providing guidance on key equity terms, negotiating with deal teams, assisting with execution coordination, and advising on deal structuring.

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with deal teams on corporate M&A and private equity matters.
• Offer expertise on key equity terms and engage in negotiations with deal teams to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Assist in coordinating the execution of transactions, including due diligence and documentation.
• Provide strategic advice on deal structuring to optimise outcomes for the firm and its portfolio companies.
• Stay abreast of relevant legal and regulatory developments impacting private equity transactions.

Requirements:

• Qualified lawyer with a strong academic background.
• Trained and qualified with a leading private practice firm.
• Extensive experience in M&A transactions, particularly in private equity deals.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
