Permanent Role

Salary Range:
£26,000 to £28,000 per annum

Overtime:
Paid at Time & Half after 37.5 hours

Hours: 37.5-hour week

Location:
Telford, Shropshire

Permanent role working for a special purpose built machinary
manufacturer. Supplying products into sectors such as FMCG, Food & Beverage, Automotive, Aerospace and Marine.

An Electromechanical Fitter is required with knowledge of build and assembly, reading electrical and mechanical drawings, basic mechanical and electrical fault finding.

Due to workload this design and manufacturer based in Telford, Shropshire requires an experienced, dynamic, leading Electromechanical Fitter to work a 37.5 hour day shift on a straight permanent contract.

As an Electromechanical Fitter, you will be requiredto:

Mechanical / Electrical assembly of precision measurement machines, jigs and fixtures.
Work with a team of skilled electro / mechanical engineers, fitters and wiremen you will be an integral member of the team that assembles complete measurement machines from component level to finished product.
Competent in Bench fitting.
Ability to carry out minor adjustments to mechanical components using lathes, milling machines and surface grinders.
Ability to check that assembled components are within expected geometric tolerances; using first principle measurement techniques i.e. through the use of DTI's and Gauge Blocks
Competent in Pneumatic systems assembly / interpretation of pneumatic schematics.
Experienced in carrying out Electrical & Mechanical fault finding.
Experienced in reading and working to detail and general assembly engineering drawings. Competent in electrical panel wiring.
Experienced in reading Electrical / Electronic drawings.
Basic Knowledge of Stepper Motors, Control Systems, Sensors and BUS systems would be advantageous
Ability to fault find on DC control systems
Experienced in using basic computer programs including MS
Word, Excel & Web Browsers
Proven experience of working in a similar fitting role

The Electromechanical Fitter should have the following Qualifications:

Time served apprentice. Minimum ONC level engineering / City & Guilds Level 3 qualification or equivalent. And / Or proven experience to a similar level.
