    Description
    I am looking for an Assistant Director of Repairs & Maintenance to join a large Social Housing provider in Central London. The Assistant Director of Repairs & Maintenance will be responsible for the strategic management of the repairs service and management of the DLO and external contractors. This is an office based position.

    Assistant Director of Repairs & Maintenance responsibilities:
    • Work with Heads of Service to prepare specifications for the procurement of contracts.
    • Strategic planning and development of the services, including developing new procedures and policies.
    • Report on performance indicators for each compliance work stream, ensuring effective pre, in-process and post completion checks are conducted.
    • Financial management of budgets, supporting the preparation of annual and 30-year business plans.
    • Prepare and present reports on operational areas of responsibility
    • Identify areas for service improvement through effective record keeping and monitoring systems.
    • Ensure that statutory compliance contracts are managed efficiently
    What is required for the role:
    • Relevant degree or professional qualifications
    • experience in leadership at a senior management level
    • Proven record of successful change management, delivering new work policies and practices alongside cultural and structural change
    • up to date knowledge and understanding of legislative and regulatory framework in the areas of responsibility
    • Social housing experience
