    What you'll be doing

    as the Leakage Optimisation Engineer
  • Achieve key operational and regulatory targets, while setting the strategic direction of your area alongside the Regional Manager.
  • Recognised as a Subject Matter Expert in leakage detection and control within your region.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to the Leakage Optimisation Analyst and support the training of other Thames Water colleagues.
  • Drive improvements of defined business processes and lead innovative new ways of working.
  • Take ownership of all Leakage-driven issues in your area, to ensure a safe and reliable drinking water supply now and into the future.
  • Manage the accuracy and availability of data from our assets, so that critical business insights can be gained and acted upon.
  • Provide specialist technical support to the wider business in the management of unplanned emergency incidents. This includes Out of Hours Coordinator responsibilities on a technical standby roster.
  • Create strategic initiatives for managing leakage in your area, accounting for population growth and the influence of climate change.
  • What you should bring to the role

  • Have previous water networks experience to make an impact within the team and develop the ideas and processes.
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical skills and a good working knowledge of Excel.
  • Have experience with leakage, Hydraulics or Modelling would be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills are needed to communicate with all levels of the organisation.
  • We are looking for someone who is degree educated or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a similar subject.
  • Please note, a valid driving licence is essential for this role.
