    Job Title:

    Electrical Test EngineerLocation: NottinghamContract: 6 Months+Rate: £30-£34 per hour Inside IR35: UmbrellaThe Test Engineer will collaborate with the Contract Engineering team to address technical design aspects across various projects involving Public Announcement Tannoy systems for offshore equipment.

    Additionally, you will offer support to the Systems Test team.


    SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

    ESSENTIAL:
    Background in a manufacturing setting, with an emphasis on electrical systemsExperience in bench testing and fault finding, particularly with electrical componentsFamiliarity with system testing and fault finding, with a focus on electrical functionalityQualification or hands-on experience in electrical engineering or a related fieldProficiency in communicating technical details with internal and external stakeholders, domestically and internationally, especially in electrical termsCapacity to plan workload and exhibit self-motivation, particularly in electrical testing environmentsAbility to adhere to cost constraints to ensure project profitability, especially in relation to electrical components and systemsEffective written communication skills for generating manuals, test schedules, and quality procedures, with an emphasis on electrical terminologyCompetence in fault finding down to component level, especially with electrical componentsPC literacy, with proficiency in relevant software for electrical testing and configurationCapability to work independently while adhering to established procedures, particularly in electrical testing scenarios

    Providing technical assistance to Project Managers, particularly in electrical systemsMeeting project and test deadlinesCoordinating with the Development department to fulfil specific design requisites, especially in electrical configurationsCollaborating with the Production department, with a focus on electrical components and systemsConducting system tests and troubleshooting, emphasising electrical functionalityUtilising bespoke software for system configuration, with an understanding of electrical parametersAdvancing to comprehensive system testing for factory acceptance tests or delivery, ensuring electrical integrityEnsuring wiring, mechanical assembly, and PCBs align with drawings or parts lists, with a strong emphasis on electrical connectionsInvestigating and resolving faults to component level, with a focus on electrical componentsCoordinating with fellow test engineers and project managers to maintain equipment completion schedules, particularly with regards to electrical systemsMaintaining relevant departmental documentation, with a clear emphasis on electrical specifications and procedures
