The UK is third in the global table for AI startup investment, but with a national shortage of AI, Analytics and Machine Learning skills, this exciting future is at risk.

You will be responsible for direct sales of our solutions within the national skills frameworks, to ensure UK&I regions have the skills for future success within the rapidly changing landscape of AI, Machine Learning and Analytics


You will work closely with our public sector team, and our Global Academic programme manager in the UK&I, with 150 partner institutions, to ensure that national and local skills programmes include the critical skills of AI and Machine Learning.


This role will report into the Education Sales manager and you will be part of the UK Education sales team and the wider EMEA Education sales team.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage your territory, opportunities and forecasting using SAS's global sales system.
  • Build an online profile and network, with thoughtleadership and clear point of view on the urgency and benefits of investment in skills and AI.
  • Achieve success by using your consultative skills to effectively manage the sales process from discovery to close.
  • Working with government, third sector and educational institutions to secure SAS' inclusion in skills programmes.
  • Prepare quotations and proposals as needed; work with other departments to create and finalize contracts and set time schedules for services.
  • Develop an understanding of the market, funding and priorities for national, regional and local skills investments, SAS training offerings and how people develop skills and methods of skill development.
  • Follow up on SAS campaigns and interested customers and prospects. Be able to explain the relevance of learning SAS skills, develop analytics competencies and the benefits of a SAS Certified workforce, from SAS Programming to Advanced Analytics

Desireable Skills:


  • Experience in supporting sales of EdTech solutions or services within national skills frameworks, preferably in data analytics, or other highdemand IT skills areas.
  • Strong Consultative Sales approach, and experience of sales methodologies such as Solution Selling, MEDDIC, Inbound and Challenger.
  • Salesoriented and goaldriven.
  • Strong Discovery questioning skills and qualification techniques.
  • Ability to work and learn independently and to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Very good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills in English.
  • Simplifying complex problems into easy to understand visual messages using PowerPoint
