    We have a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Software Development to join us at our unique Head Office in Renfrew, which includes our state-of-the-art gym with weekly circuit training, a personal trainer and yoga classes as well as the Beeks Bar or weekly masseuse to help you unwind

    This is an Operational Board level position and will be responsible for multiple software development teams across the business.

    We are seeking a Head of Software Development with a strong background in cloud-based infrastructure and software development to lead our team.

    The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing high-quality, scalable, and resilient cloud-native applications. This role involves strategic planning, technology leadership, and hands-on project management to support our cloud-based solutions.

    This role is pivotal in ensuring our cloud-based infrastructure supports scalable, efficient, and innovative software solutions that drive our business forward.

    Strategic Leadership:

    Develop and execute a clear vision for the software development teams that aligns with the company's goals, focusing on cloud-based solutions.

    Drive the adoption of our cloud and analytic technologies, products and best practices, ensuring the efficient design and deployment of cloud-native applications.


    Team Management and Development:

    Lead, mentor, and grow a multi-faceted team of software developers, business analysts and SME's fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.


    Project Oversight:

    Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of software development projects, from conception through deployment and maintenance, ensuring they leverage cloud technologies effectively.


    Budget and Resource Management:
    Oversee the software development budget, including cloud resources, tools, and personnel, ensuring optimal allocation and utilisation.

    Quality Assurance and Security:

    Ensure the highest standards of quality and security in all software releases, with a particular focus on cloud security best practices and compliance standards.

    A minimum of 7 years' experience in proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team of software developers and cloud specialists.

    Strong background in software development with a focus on cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., experience with Python, Angular, Go, Django).

    Project Management:
    Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies and familiarity with project management tools.
    A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest cloud technologies and software development practices.
    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, or a related field.
    AWS Certified Solutions Architect,
