We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Support Administrator to join Lincolnshire Police at their station in Lincoln South Park.

This is an office based role working at 37 hours a week.

PLEASE NOTE DUE TO POLICE VETTING CRITERIA YOU MUST HAVE BEEN RESIDING WITHIN THE UK CONTINUOUSLY FOR AT LEAST 3 YEARS AT TIME OF APPLICATION.


JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE:


The post holder will provide support the Personal Assistant to the SLT and provide business support services, assisting with day-to-day administration for the Local Policing Senior Leadership Team.


CORE WORK AREAS:


  • Providing general business administrative support as required for the Local Policing Senior Leadership Team (SLT) as required.
  • Attend meetings and support the documentation in advance and following ensuring actions are carried forward and achieved.
  • Support in the preparation and attendance at events including CPD, conferences and reward and recognition events as required.
  • Support the Personal Assistant for the SLT in the coordination of meetings and associated events/documentation
  • Work closely with other departments to support the collation of information and documentation for the SLT to assist in decision making and briefings
  • Receiving, filtering and redirecting telephone enquiries, ensuring they are dealt with in a courteous, prompt and efficient manner.
  • Supporting the SLT with correspondence logging, tracking, allocating to relevant staff for further action, archiving and assisting with the reporting of correspondence trends and volumes.
  • Drafting basic correspondence, circulating documents and signposting correspondence to external parties as appropriate.
  • Requisitioning goods and services via the inhouse system, such as travel & accommodation bookings, stationery and general purchases/services, as required.

Requirements:


  • NVQ3 Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in an administrative or support function
  • Previous experience in research, writing guidance or relevant documentation
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good practical knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Communicates effectively and clearly both verbally and in writing with internal and external parties
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels internally and externally, and to develop good working relationships
  • Ability to work in a team environment with both internal and external partners and departments
  • An ability to selfmanage and selftask, being highly motivated, creative, innovative with a progressive & positive mindset
  • Pro active and positive attitude and the ability to work unsupervised using own initiative
  • Able to balance conflicting demands and priorities to meet deadlines
  • Full driving licence
