    Description

    Claytex have a vacancy for a Sensor Modelling Team Leader to join our team working on the development of our AVSandbox solutions for ADAS and autonomous vehicle simulation, development and testing.

    You will be working as part of a team that is developing the simulators that will be used to create a virtual test drive for autonomous vehicles and enable virtual testing of ADAS features. You will be leading the team that develops the sensor models and involved in the development and setup of the complete simulators, sensor models, test scenarios and working with partners and customers to integrate their use into their process.

    As the team leader you will be responsible for allocating the development tasks and tracking progress for the team who are working on the development and validation of perception sensors including radar and lidar sensors. You will also be responsible for carrying out code reviews and work on some of the development tasks. You will work with the Managing Director and AVSimulator team lead to define and coordinate the product development roadmap taking into account customer requests and Innovate UK project demands.

    Experience in one or more of the following is essential:

    • Agile project management methods
    • Modelling of perception sensors and have a good understand of the physics involved in how these sensors work.
    • Programming in C/C++
    • Creation and execution of physical test, characterisation and validation processes
    • Experience of autonomous vehicle simulation platforms such as rFpro

    The job title might be referred to as a Principal Engineer. The salary range will be £60k+ plus pension, depending on experience and you must be UK based. We are operating a hybrid work arrangement enabling a mix of working at home and in the office.
