Head of Communications and Marketing


This is a new role for the hospice and will work across the organisation to increase awareness and support from key audiences.

It will lead on all marketing and communications activities, from social media and digital campaigns to publications and creative projects.

It will build our profile in the community whilst developing and implementing a communications and marketing strategy that increases support.


Being confident in communicating to different groups of people and building relationships is crucial to this role, as well as ensuring high levels of customer service and experience to all our stakeholders.


East Lancs Hospice
East Lancashire Hospice is a registered charity, founded in 1984. We support and care for patients with a life limiting illness, their families and others close to them.

We provide this in a number of ways; at the hospice and in people's homes across our community of Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley.

With approximately 120 employees and over 250 volunteers, our people are our biggest asset whom we value tremendously.

Our services to the local community would not be possible without our motivated and caring workforce who always strive to deliver excellence in all that they do.

The hospice is a unique and special place, kindness and compassion are qualities that run throughout the hospice and our people truly believe in what we do.


What we offer


You will have access to Café Retreat, based at East Lancashire Hospice with freshly cooked meals daily from our amazing catering team, staff meals are subsidised.


We have an excellent, collaborative working environment with a generous holiday allowance of 27 days + Bank Holidays with the option to buy additional days.

You will have access to learning and development opportunities, free parking, ongoing training, and funded access to a private health scheme.
