ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT JOB SUMMARY:

Fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a friendly finance team, within an organisation who have recently embarked on an exciting period of growth.

The successful Accounts Assistant will be working alongside 2 other accounts people, in the wider finance team, and report directly to the Finance Supervisor.

Previous accounts experience is required, but training will be provided on the job as well.

ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT RESPONSIBILITIES:

Daily sales invoicing across multiple currencies
Reconciling customer accounts (inclusive of posting and allocating receipts, posting sales or purchase deductions, escalating shortages or other discrepancies etc)
Working on SAGE to update customer details, account information, raise weekly direct debit collections etc
Send out statements to customers on a monthly basis
Escalate queries or discrepancies as they arise
Assist to post purchase ledger invoices onto supplier accounts
Support the team with general accounts administration

KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

Our client is looking for someone who has worked in a similar finance / account's assistant role, with similar responsibilities.
AAT Qualified, or similar, would be ideal, but not essential as training can be provided, in order to perform the role without specific qualifications.
A genuine interest in accounts, with an eye for detail and numbers
Previous use of accounting software, ideally SAGE or similar
A confident communicator, who can work well as part of a busy team, but also take ownership of their own responsibilities, independently.
