Role Summary:

This role is a critical and senior position within our flagship Ansty site.


As Supply Chain Lead, you'll be responsible for leading and driving Supply Chain activities across the site to ensure timely and cost-effective material planning, supporting operations and supplier development for the improvement of customer service and cash flow.

You will drive continuous improvement in line with strategy deployment and ensure supplier adherence to required standards across Lean Fundamentals, Supply Chain practices and SQDCE.


Role Responsibilities:


  • Ensure a safe and secure working environment for all employees
  • Monitor supplier performance across Division to resolve/eliminate supplier process deficiencies
  • Work closely with Divisional Supply Chain Manager to maintain supply chain continuity and strategic focus on key Division/Group activities
  • Actively support and implement Lean principles
  • Ensure appropriate and robust controls, checks and audits are in place for ongoing supply chain activities
  • Ensure location focus on material cost control activities related to procurement, dual sourcing and category management
  • Ensure supplier alignment to Division supply chain strategy
  • Drive improvements in location SQDC
  • Support NPI
  • Support, liaise and assist Operations team in quantifying and reducing/eliminating Supply Chain impact on activities
  • Support the wider Supply Chain team to drive PCI improvements within the supply base
  • Support operational improvements where necessary
  • Implement and maintain a robust risk mitigation process both at a location level

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:


  • Business degree or equivalent
  • Management experience
  • Problem Solving skills
  • CIPS Level 4 or higher
  • Knowledge of Import/Export compliance requirements and legislation
  • IT and analytical skills
  • Knowledge/understanding of contract law
  • Professionalism and Integrity at all times
