    Job Purpose

    As the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) at a leading Wealth Management Firm, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) policies, procedures, and controls.

    You will play a crucial role in safeguarding the firm against financial crime risks while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Policy Development and Implementation

    · Develop, review, and update AML/CTF policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements.

    · Implement and communicate AML/CTF policies across the organization.

    2. Risk Assessment and Due Diligence

    · Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential money laundering and terrorist financing risks and assess the effectiveness of the controls that the firm has put against these risks.

    · Provide guidance and support to senior management and the board regarding the firms risk-based approach to AML/CTF.

    · Oversee the due diligence performed on clients and counterparties to ensure identification and mitigation of risk and compliance with regulatory standards.

    3. Training and Awareness

    · Provide AML/CTF training to employees at all levels, ensuring a high level of awareness and understanding.

    · Foster a culture of compliance and integrity within the organization.

    4. Monitoring and Reporting

    · Establish and maintain systems for monitoring and detecting suspicious transactions or activities.

    · Investigate and report suspicious activities to relevant authorities as required by law.

    · Provide ongoing reporting on the conduct of AML/CTF by the firm to senior management and the Board.

    5. Regulatory Compliance

    · Stay updated on changes in AML/CTF laws and regulations and ensure that the firm's policies and procedures remain current.

    · Liaise with regulatory bodies and external agencies on AML/CTF matters.

    6. Internal Collaboration

    · Collaborate with internal departments, such as legal, risk management, and operations, to ensure a unified approach to compliance.

    · Provide guidance and support to employees on AML/CTF matters.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Relevant degree in business management, finance, law, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in a similar role within the financial services industry, with a focus on wealth management.
    • In-depth knowledge of AML/CTF regulations and best practices.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CAMS, ICA) are highly desirable.

    Team Hybrid Working Style. The expectation for this role will involve a minimum of three/four days each week.
