Description

Foremans Packaging is a well established manufacturer based in Chelmsford for 150 years and supplies key manufacturers of medical, military and aerospace industry with an enviable reputation for quality and service.


We are looking for an assistant for machined wood products, cutting timber to length for small batch runs of wooden cases.

You will be assisting the machine operators on varies aspects of wood machining.


You need to be:

  • Able to read work instructions,
  • Able to use a tape measure for accurate measurement.
  • Able to operate machine in a safe manner after training
  • A team player and have a helpful and can do attitude
There is some lifting and carrying required for this position.


Any experience of working with wood would be a distinct advantage, along with any machine operational experience, but this is not essential as full training will be given to the right applicant.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm and Friday 8am to 3.30pm = 39 hours per week
  • Some overtime available

  • Manufacturing: 2 years (preferred)
