    Description

    For September 2024 Thornton College are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced sports graduate to join the Physical Education department to enhance further our provision. Candidates should be willing to coach a variety of sports and embrace fully the co-curricular life of the school. A lifeguard qualification or willingness and ability to qualify as a lifeguard is essential and the ability to drive the school minibus is desirable.

    Thornton College is part of the wider Jesus and Mary Trust, educating young people in 29 countries across the world. There is an ambitious school development plan in place and our most recent ISI inspection report judged the school to be 'Excellent' in all areas. The successful candidate can be sure of working with a team of extremely dedicated staff in a very motivating, forward-thinking school environment.

    Successful candidates will work alongside our other physical education staff to supplement the co-curricular program with a willingness to work in both the Prep. and Senior School. The sports graduate will have responsibilities in all aspects of physical education and sport including curricular and co-curricular fixtures as required by school.

    The post would be suited to someone wishing to pursue a career in physical education teaching.

    Salary:£17,589.00 [FTE £22,308.00]. This position is term time only.
