Quality Control & Operations Executive
£30,000 p/a, North Chailey (own transport required), Permanent, Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm, 28 days holiday, Christmas shutdown, generous staff discounts, health insurance, dog friendly office

The Role

Our successful and growing client are currently seeking a Quality Control & Operations Executive who will be responsible for assisting in quality related processes, ensuring regular testing of the product is carried out, and helping the Planning and ProcurementManagers with tasks to ensure a smooth running of the planning, procurement and supply chain processes.

You will:

Manage site prerequisite programs including GMP/hygiene, cleaning and sanitation, testing and verification, staff training, pest control and documentation
Collect / issue delivery notes
Lead the site on HACCP
Manage environmental, raw material and finished product micro testing program and results reporting (and communication externally as required)
Raw material acceptance and finished product release
Product traceability, batch control and product recall management
Quality issues investigation and corrective action reporting (internal and consumer complaints)
Ensure formulation / pack compliance to UK regulatory requirements

Requirements_

Experience in a similar role, specifically food manufacturing, meat industry or pet food industry would be highly beneficial. You must have sound knowledge of quality systems and HACCP and an understanding of raw material and supplier management. You willneed to be highly proactive and adaptable to changing demands. Excellent communicator. Own transport required (free parking available on site) and happy working in a dogfriendly office
