    Newton Aycliffe Our client is a renowned global manufacturer and supplier specialising in pressure sensing solutions. They provide sensors utilising electronic strain gauges to generate highly linear and predictable output signals across various temperatures. This technology serves as a crucial component across diverse industries, ensuring both safety and precision in their operations.

    Job Purpose The role of the QHSE Manager is a pivotal role, offering organisational guidance and actively promoting the ethos of continual enhancement.

    Your primary responsibilities will include strategically developing, implementing, and refining quality systems to ensure complete alignment with both customer expectations and internal standards.

    Moreover, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring consistent adherence to regulatory guidelines.

    Responsibilities * Set objectives and continuously enhance the company's overall Quality function to surpass customer expectations in product quality, delivery, and responsiveness.

    * Lead and nurture the QHSE team in accordance with our core values and principles.

    * As a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), provide clear direction and vision, inspiring and motivating colleagues to strive for excellence.

    Offer guidance and mentorship.

    * Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure all product, process, and legal standards are established and met.

    * Enhance and uphold the company's Quality Management System (QMS), including procedures, control plans, operating instructions, and records, to meet the aforementioned objectives.

    * Design the company's audit program to encompass supplier management, incoming goods, internal product, and process compliance. Foster continuous improvement initiatives to rectify errors, minimize waste, and address customer and supplier concerns promptly.

    Utilize recognized Continuous Improvement (CI) tools and methodologies, and provide training to others (e.g., Six Sigma, process capability, A3, 8D, Practical problem-solving).

    * Define and uphold the company's internal Manufacturing standards concerning product quality. Establish and support the company's external Supply Chain standards regarding product quality. * Oversee the company laboratory, ensuring all equipment is calibrated and optimized for usage. Efficiently manage customer returns and handle all non-conformances in a timely manner. * Provide comprehensive quality metric reporting from the shop floor to the Board level. Develop pertinent quality tools to empower managers and employees in improving business practices.
    Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role, as necessary. Requirements (Essential) * Hold a degree in an Engineering discipline. * Possess certification as a Lead Auditor ISO9001:2015. * Hold an IOSH Level 3 certification. * Have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a Senior QA role within Manufacturing/Engineering.

    * Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and practical application of core quality tools: PFLOW, PFMEA, CPLAN, DFMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP & APQP.

    * Exhibit a track record of driving continuous quality improvement and fostering an advanced quality culture using techniques such as Kaizen & Six Sigma.

    * Showcase strong customer relation skills, including serving as a technical lead in customer interactions and analyzing warranty claims, with extensive experience in A3/8D methodologies.

    * Demonstrate the ability to train others in APQP (SPC, MSA, FMEA, PPAP). * Have experience in developing a business-level Quality Management System (QMS). * Possess at least 3 years' experience in Health & Safety Management. * Communicate effectively and establish productive relationships within the organization, as well as with suppliers and customers. * Possess proficient skills in Microsoft Office applications. * Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication abilities. * Display proactive problem-solving capabilities. * Demonstrate strong analytical and reporting skills. * Exhibit a positive outlook and the ability to work under pressure while remaining flexible to meet business demands. * Willingness to undertake international travel as required (occasional). * Committed to the continuous professional development of both the team and oneself. * Demonstrate the ability to achieve targets and personal objectives.
