Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support.

The project is now seeking private investment with a view to start construction in 2024.

When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.

We currently have an amazing opportunity for a Supply Chain Assistant to join Sizewell C project.

Our teams are set up to work flexibly, with a hybrid working approach between our offices and your home.

We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.


The Role

:


As a Supply Chain Assistant, you will provide commercial support to the Commercial Management Team on assigned contracts and monitor and report on commercial aspects of the contract and/or project flagging issues at the earliest opportunity to the Commercial Manager.

You'll review contractor deliveries including where appropriate attending valuation and progress review meetings, ensuring contractual deliverables are met.

You will also support the wider team with the administration of the early warning process and assessment of daywork records and accounts.


The SZC Supply Chain Assistant will be required to work closely and pro-actively with the other team members at all levels and across all the teams within the project to ensure that the requirements of the individual contracts and their impact upon the overall SZC Project are successfully delivered.


The Skills

:

You'll bring your previous knowledge of contracts, basic estimating and cost reporting to this exciting position.

You'll have an understanding of contract performance measurement, risk management and change and claim management.

Previous experience in a large-scale construction, Civils, Infrastructure or Nuclear project would be beneficial but not essential.

Good working ability to manage and be reactive in an ever-changing environment is essential.
