    • Ongoing training and development opportunities, allowing you to reach your full potential What you'll be doing: We are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to cover maternity leave as part of the Finance Team on the West Berkshire Contract. This is a varied role which will have responsibility for assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts, forecasting and budgeting to support the operational performance of the contract.

    Duties will include:

    • Produce monthly journals and management accounts together with analysis and investigation of results and variances
    • Regular interaction with the contract and operations managers to ensure accurate financial reporting
    • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve balance sheet queries
    • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
    • Assist with monthly production of contract invoices for the client
    • Assist with quarterly contractual reporting for the client
    • Support with the year end statutory audit process
    • Provide support to the Finance Manager including any ad hoc requests
    • Remain compliant with group financial policies and procedures What we're looking for: Essential
    • Previous experience in monthly management account production and variance analysis within tight deadlines
    • Organised and methodical approach to their work with keen eye for the required detail to ensure accuracy of all financial transactions
    • Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with multi layer stakeholders and management
    • Financial systems experience. Workday and Adaptive Planning would be an advantage
    • Google Office applications and advanced Excel experience Desirable
