Job summary:


The successful applicant will be responsible for the issue of identity permits and vehicle passes of Royal Air Force (RAF) Waddington personnel and visitors.

The role involves regular interaction with military and civilian personnel, parented by or visiting the unit.

It is vital the successful applicant is approachable and helpful as they will be the first impression of the unit that many will see.

This position is advertised at 19 hours per week at E2 grade (£22,758 pro rata). Applicants must note, due to busy periods, you will be required to start work at 0730 each morning. If you can not commit to this, please do not apply.


Job description:


  • The role will see the successful applicant carry out the production and issue of both permanent and temporary Station photographic visitor personal passes to service/MOD Civilian personnel, contractors, service dependants and social visitors. They are responsible to Officer Commanding (OC) RAF Police, through the daily management of the Warrant Officer (WO), Military Provost Guard Service (MPGS). The role incumbent will produce and issue both permanent and temporary Station vehicle passes to service/MOD Civilian personnel, contractors, service dependants and social visitors. Daily issuing of keys and maintenance of the key authorisation list will also be part of the role, as well as any other associated duty as directed by OC Police or WO MPGS.

We are looking for an individual to:

Be a friendly, welcoming and helpful front of house member of staff to liaise with a number of personnel with varying requirements.

Be conversant with all current passes and permits related security policy, training will be provided.

Issue personnel and vehicle passes in a timely manner.

To be confident with all IT programs used for the issue of passes, training will be provided.

Uphold the highest standards of diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Be flexible with working hours.

Liaise with line management in regards to any welfare concerns.
