    Contract Kitchen Designer


    Full time, Rotating Shifts

    Mon-Thurs 8.45 am – 5 pm, Friday 8.45 am – 4 pm

    Mon – Thurs 8.00 am – 4.15 pm, Friday 8 am – 3.15 pm

    We require two Kitchen Designers to join our Contracts team based in Thorne, Doncaster.

    This Role is responsible for producing high quality designs and estimates for regional, national and major project main contract developers.

    Main duties will include:

  • Producing accurate designs and estimates for kitchen layouts using Articad.
  • Scaling from Architects drawings supplied by the developer.
  • Working to a developer brief to specified deadlines.
  • Work closely with our customers and our Contract Sales Team to fully understand our customers requirements.
  • Prepare completed designs/estimates into a tender presentation.
  • Establishing installation budget and designing within contract guidelines.
  • Adhere to internal working systems and procedures.

  • APPLICANTS for the role must have an understanding of planning/design within a contracts or retail environment, preferably accompanied by formal training or a design qualification. You must have had practical hands on design experience gained within the kitchen industry and have the ability to understand and interpret instructions and work from scaled drawings. You will be creative with design flair and possess the ability to design a functional yet striking kitchen from scratch, so an understanding of kitchen component parts is advantageous. You must be able to use a CAD system as well as being competent in the use of Microsoft Office products (including Excel and PowerPoint).A working knowledge of Articad, SAP and Photoshop would be advantageous. Designs need to be produced accurately and often within tight timescales, so you must be flexible and able to work on your own initiative and under pressure.
