Description

Calibre Audio is a national charity providing an audiobook lending service for adults and children with print disabilities.

Since 1974, the charity has supported those with visual impairment, dyslexia, and other conditions preventing them from reading a printed book, empowering them to enjoy reading without barriers.


This is a key role in the organisation, supporting the Marketing and Communications Team (with guidance from the Digital Marketing Manager).

The post holder will be responsible for delivering straightforward elements of the overall marketing and communications plan along with contributing to individual campaigns, working to specific briefs.

Main tasks of job:


  • Providing wider support to the Marketing and Communications team in producing online and offline literature.
  • Researching and generating content for digital campaigns.
  • Developing photo, video and graphic design skills to create eyecatching content.
  • Developing writing skills to create impactful content including articles and promotional material.
  • Drafting and scheduling content for social channels.
  • Engaging with audiences and responding to customers across social channels.
  • Monitoring social trends, competitor activity, key influencers, and Facebook groups.
  • Contributing creative ideas for content and campaigns.
  • Updating and maintaining the communication and marketing department's documentation and databases.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders on the creation of marketing content.
  • Brand monitoring and maintenance.
  • General marketing and communications administration.

Person specification:


  • Excellent literacy, written and spoken communication skills
  • Good administrative and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • An understanding of social media platforms and experience using Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter for businesses
  • Understanding of social media analytics
  • Ability to produce clear information and edit simple copy
  • Basic image and video creation/editing skills
  • Good IT skills, MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Able to build successful working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Passion for digital design and presentation
  • Able to work to a brief, independently and as part of a team

Entry requirements


You need to have achieved a C/4 or higher in English and Maths GCSE to be accepted onto this apprenticeship.


Preferably:


  • Excellent IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft systems (word, excel, teams).

Things to consider

The salary will increase to £224.00 per week from 1st April 2024.

On site parking, generous 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.

This is an office based position, so please make sure you can commute to Weston Turville before applying.
