SMARTS Trade Surveillance is a web browser based SAAS application. Our client base is global and operating in 142+ Stock Exchanges, primarily focused on broker trade compliance. Your responsibilities are to ensure that operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to SMARTS Trade Surveillance requirements.

You will assist with projects to enhance solutions around technical issues, providing a good insight in the current infrastructure, future initiations, and planning phases around the project.

research & development within the project lifecycle; technical analysis and design; You will perform both a BAU and deployment work stream.

BAU is primarily based around ensuring the correct and timely provisioning of trade and analysis information to our customers; deployment work will entail the installation or upgrade of software across our server environment.

Linux System administration tasks and Linux based troubleshooting.
~ L2/L3 technical support. Proactively monitor and resolves the production environment issues with the use of Zabbix as a monitoring tool.
~ System monitoring to ensure availability of all services, server resources.
~ Log monitoring to review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs.

Resolution of Incidents and Service Requests following SLAs and ITIL Incident Management Processes.
Performing Application Deployments using puppet, Gitlab and bit bucket as per Change Management Processes.
Develop and integrate process automation tools using Bash/Python
Managing AWS Cloud infrastructure with Terraform, GitHub and Splunk as a monitoring tool.
Work will be Rotational shift-based to support European and North American business hours.

Weekdays:
Weekends: Minor Critical Deployment Support | Rotational On-Call once in 8 Weeks.
Timings are indicative only and should be flexible to accommodate as per changing business needs.
Strong background in Linux/Unix Environment


Exposure to monitoring tools:
Exposure to Configuration management tools including Puppet, Ansible. Strong scripting knowledge in Bash, Python.
Exposure to AWS cloud technologies . Good understanding of ITIL methodologies.
Networking protocols such as TCP/IP networking and routing.
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related discipline.

You should have a passion for IT and Devops technical related subjects and use initiative and lateral thinking to solve problems, keeping technical and commercial constraints in balance.
