Description

You will be the first point of contact for our patients either face to face or on the telephone. You will work collaboratively with the practice team to meet the needs of patients, nurses and GPs. Experience of general practice and SystmOne is desirable

The main duties of the role will include

To provide administrative support to and contribute to the planning and development of the department as a member of the team

To greet patients at reception, deal with telephone enquiries from patients regarding appointments and input data into administration systems, so excellent keyboard skills are required.

The practice operates between 08:00-18:00 Monday to Friday and 08:00 to 20:00 on a Thursday. A degree of flexibility is expected to cover for annual leave / sickness.

The role is varied and highly demanding, requiring a person with exceptional organisational ability and able to work under pressure while providing a positive and responsive professionalism on behalf of the practice.
