We are actively seeking compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistants to join dynamic teams across schools in Ware.
This role involves supporting students with special educational needs (SEN), helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their educational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to SEN students, both within the classroom setting and in oneonone scenarios.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor progress.
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to enhance student learning.
- Engage with SEN students to promote inclusion within the school environment.
- Manage and support students with emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Prepare learning materials that meet the diverse needs of SEN students.
Requirements:
- Experience in an SEN support role within an educational setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Empathy and dedication to supporting children with additional needs.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Enhanced DBS check clearance is required.
- Qualifications such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent are advantageous.
