- Lead and mentor a team of hardware engineers, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise throughout the hardware design process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, project managers, and clients, to define hardware requirements and specifications for automation projects.
- Delivery of projects on time, in budget and to the agreed specifications through task and engineering process management relating to themselves and the members of their team.
- Leading the drive in the department to improve Quality Systems and Standards, ensuring that the operation is consistent in its approach to the Quality System.
- Coordination of resource within their team to maintain the required level of support for the project managers. Ensure resolutions of issues of work priority.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve common goals.
- High level of ability to understand and produce control system design documents.
- Experience in hardware design, including experience in a leadership or managerial role.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations for electronic hardware design, such as IPC, UL, and CE.
- Qualified to HNC / HND / Degree level in a relevant discipline
- Base salary of £55,000 - £65,000
