Reed Financial Services are delighted to be able to represent a well established Chartered Financial Planning firm in their search for a Trainee Financial Advisor.


This would be a golden opportunity for someone with industry experience looking to make that step up from paraplanner into an advisor.


The first 12 months would be spent dealing with clients alongside an industry expert to learn the ropes, before being provided your own client bank enabling a career with real longevity.

Full support will be given for all future qualifications on your wayto becoming Chartered.


Responsibilities:


Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Attend client meetings with the Chairman. Take notes throughout.
  • Complete the firms Fact Find / Know Your Client process, RPQ and risk profile discussion documentation on behalf of the chairman.
  • Participate in debriefing the Private Client Manager & Administration. To include completion of any debrief documentation.
  • You will put clients' needs first and always conduct client business in line with contractual obligations and internal Training & Competence and Compliance standards.
  • You will be expected to manage client expectations and meet client service standards.
  • You will closely with your allocated administration support, ensuring all client correspondence is generated by them.
  • Accurately source and then provide full information to the allocated paraplanner to write client specific / personalised suitability reports and organise additional client information as requested.
  • Attend monthly consultant training sessions.
  • Contribute to ensuring all your client files are compliant on an ongoing basis, including the client review process.
  • Ensure that significant risk issues are referred to the firms SMF16 where appropriate.

These duties are not to be regarded as exhaustive and you may be required to perform such other and / or additional duties within your skill and competence as the company may require.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

  • Demonstrate practical awareness and up to date knowledge of retail financial products and current regulatory expectations.
  • Analytical in solving tasks with a keen attention for detail.
  • Possess excellent organisational and time management skills with an ability to work under pressure and prioritise.
  • Deliver effective and positive communication, and demonstrate competent use of IT.
  • A minimum of a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Services (working towards Level 6).
  • Must be willing to travel (UK).
