    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cafe Manager to lead our family-style team. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a high standard of food quality.     White Post cafe is an established, leading cafe renowned for creating a home-away-from-home atmosphere serving speciality coffee, a dynamic seasonal-local menu and fresh bakes, pastries and savoury scones. Relationships our vital to us - Customers, suppliers community and our local environment.

    Our wholesome, seasonal cafe is tucked away on the outskirts of Wellington, in the village of Langford Budville. We are open 7 days a week 9am - 4pm.

    Job Title: Café Manager - Whitepost Cafe

    Reporting to: Whitepost Cafe Owner

    Location: Whitepost Cafe, Langford Budville, Wellington, TA21 0QZ

    Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

    Salary: £28,000

    (Fortnightly Shift Pattern, Alternate weekends off)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Café
    • Menu planning and development
    • Opportunity to develop private hire & pop-up event offerings
    • Operate to a high standard of customer service and professionalism
    • Ensure the café is always clean and tidy
    • Manage all legislation and policies including HACCP
    • Recruit, train and supervise our whole cafe team including our small kitchen team.
    • Regularly review performance with each team member
    • Complete monthly staff rotas & manage holidays
    • Ensure all café expenses are within budget and identify ways to decrease operational costs
    • Stock and budget management.
    • Receive delivered café supplies and verify that the correct items and quantities have been delivered.
    • Identify strategies to retain and attract customers

    Our Ideal Candidate:

    • Minimum of a year in management in a similar busy hospitality environment, ideally working with speciality coffee & food.
    • Super organised, with a keen eye for detail and a natural flair for leading teams
    • Experience and knowledge of people management & problem solving
    • Flexibility and ability to work on your own, using your initiative, and as part of a team
    • A passion for service and quality
    • Have your own transport as we are quite a remote location

    This role will not involve regular evening work. Work-life is at the heart of our operation.
