About the role...

:


Collaborating across disciplines and offices, you will manage a wide range of projects across a multi-sectoral portfolio drawn from regional, national and international projects (aviation, mixed use, stadia, higher education, culture, etc).

The role will also provide valuable technical support to the team, enhancing and continuously developing technical knowledge, standards, and approach.

Key focus areas;

  • Setting a consistently high standard of project leadership and delivery for the Manchester Structures team.
  • Leading multidisciplinary teams and representing the overall project at external and internal meetings, successfully coordinating and managing the varying demands of each discipline internally in order to present a cohesive project team and "endproduct" to the endclient;
  • Delivering highstandard, profitable projects that result in repeat work for the client and that can form a reference for new work with other clients;
  • Responding to strong local and international drivers for sustainable design in particular, driving and implementing strategic agendas as set by the business such as computational design and low carbon and net zero consultancy via active collaboration with other disciplines (e.g. Sustainability & Physics, Facades, MEP et al.)
  • Actively seeking out and securing new projects and maintaining productive relationships with key clients.
  • In partnership with the discipline leadership, playing an active role in retaining and growing an diverse, happy, thriving and talented team.

Your Skills & Experience

:


  • Extensive project leadership experience.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams on largescale projects.
  • Exposure to a wide variety of project types and materials.
  • An existing network of external client contacts and collaborators.
  • Chartered with a relevant institution, e.g. ICE or IStructE.
