- Surveying, monitoring, improving, and maintaining all production processes, including, but not limited to mechanical assembly and welding.
- Ensuringthat all work is carried out to the requirements of class, international standards and meets client expectations.
- Responsible for the collation of all work scope documentation and preparation of project MRB.
- Liaise with client and ships Chief engineer to complete final inspection and sign-off and ensure that all work is carried out in a safe and effective manner.
- Assist discipline engineers and operations supervision to develop processes and procedures for dis-assembly and re-assembly of components, assemblies, and mechanical structures in line with the work scope.
- Assess the requirements for the product with respect to laws and regulations to realize customer specifications in the preliminary stages and contribute to prequalification documents and tenders.
- Identify non-conformance and liaise with welding supervision for necessary corrective actions to be carried out.
- Development and planning of control actions and executing them.
- Support project managers to deliver projects on time and with high quality.
- Creating ITPs and ensuring WPS are available for the project.
- Prepare for ISO 9001 and external client audits.
- HNC/HND in a technical field, e.g. Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering
- Proven experience in a similar role within a heavy engineering, fabrication, or shipbuilding environment.
- Experience working to National and International codes & standards. such as Lloyds, IACS & DNV.
- Knowledge of development and documentation of processes and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
- Sound knowledge of Quality systems, standards, and certifications.
- Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Office suite.
