    Up to £60,000 depending on experience, up to £5,000 relocation support, plus benefits

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our close-knit team.

    We have a diverse day on offer for the successful candidate with day to day duties involve consulting (15 minute consultations) and operating, working 4 days per week, with an expectation to work 1:6 Saturdays, no OOH's.

    The role would be working alongside our Clinical Director in our busy Arboretum practice, there would sometimes be sole charge when we have holidays to cover.

    Our CD has special interests in diagnostic imaging and we have digital xray and ultrasound equipment here at Arboretum, our CD would be willing to train in these areas, our CD also carries out Laparoscopic bitch speys and there would be the opportunity for training in this area too.


    About Hillman Vets
    Hillman vets are a 4 branch practice based in the West Midlands. We have branches based in Walsall, Brownhills, Lichfield and Cannock. We are a strong team consisting of 8 FTE Veterinary surgeons with varying interests and 11 FTE Veterinary nurses. We also have a strong support team of VCA's and dedicated receptionists. We have digital x-rays machines, Ultrasound machines which we use for abdominal scanning and also echocardiograms. We also own a laser therapy machine and laparoscopic equipment. We are opposite the Arboretum park in Walsall and have close links to Birmingham city centre. Here you will find a huge range of shops, bars, restaurants and theatres to enjoy.

    We have 2 certificate holders in surgery and diagnostic imaging and we also have vets with special interests in cardiology, medicine, physiotherapy and exotics amongst our team.

    We require a new veterinary surgeon who can join our team and help us to continue being able to offer a high standard of care to our clients in both medicine and surgery.

    What you'll bring
    The successful candidate will have use of a digital x-ray machine, laparoscopic equipment and ultrasound.


    The candidate would not be expected to work out of hours and the weekend rota is 1: 6 Saturdays 9am-12.30pm.

    Ideally the successful candidate would have experience in consulting and routine surgery.
