Are you looking for your next step in a prospect research career?
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Prospect Research Officer to help us identify and build partnerships with individual philanthropists.
Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK with a nationwide network of rehoming, centres and charity shops.
We are reliant on voluntary donations to continue our work.
As part of this, Dogs Trust works with many wonderful organisations, individuals and trusts that help us generate income, save on core costs, and deliver on our new ambitious strategy, and there is a huge potential to increase our reach which will help us to continue the expansion of our work.
Your primary responsibility will be to identify and evaluate potential donors to support Dogs Trust.You will be required to conduct thorough research, analysis and profiling of individuals to identify their giving potential and interests, using various sources of information, such as databases, online resources and other publicly available resources.
Additionally, you will be responsible for producing high-quality research reports, briefing documents and prospect lists that support the fundraising team in their cultivation and solicitation activities.
As a Prospect Research Officer, you will also need to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and use this knowledge to provide recommendations and insights to the fundraising team.
With a demonstrable experience of successful prospect research and management within the charity or auction sector you will demonstrate technical expertise and data analysis required to facilitate a sustained philanthropic income stream.
