We're looking for a systematic, results-driven and enthusiastic Head of Supply Chain who wants to help spread our passion for healthy and sustainable food and drink by delivering the highest quality of product.

Office-based:Monday to Friday (5 days per week). As a start-up, we are strong believers in collaboration so we're currently five days a week within the office.


Salary:
Up to £65,000 dependent on experience.


Bonus:
Performance related, up to 10%.


Working hours: 8.30am - 5.00pm with half an hour lunch.


Contract:
Full-time, permanent.


Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:
As our Head of Supply Chain, you will be managing and overseeing the entirety of the end-to-end supply chain.

  • You will be continuously building and optimising the supply chain in its efficiency, cost and reliability.
  • Propose options and recommend an overall supply chain strategy, in line with the growth strategy of the business.
  • Overseeing both inhouse manufacturing and directly managing future thirdparty manufacturing partners to deliver all product SKUs across our offering to customers.
  • Develop and maintain robust processes, procedures, and systems for the effective and efficient delivery of Supply Chain activities.
  • Delivering against and reporting on top level KPI's such as customer order cycle time and COGS.
  • To conduct root cause analysis on the present supply chain and forecast the future supply chain to identify and remove bottlenecks and set out the necessary contingency plans and risk mitigation methods in response to points of risk.
  • Building and implementing the S&OP process from the ground up as demand increases and onsite operations and future offsite operations scale.
  • To improve and optimise energy use within the supply chain, to always view operations through a sustainable lens to lower its CO2 output and improve its green credentials wherever possible.
  • Oversee thirdparty manufacturing and thirdparty logistics to produce and deliver products that are manufactured offsite, whilst ensuring partners are complying with our level of standards.
  • Head up demand planning and oversee procurement of raw materials. Forming new or nurturing existing supplier relationships, according to food standards and company sustainable criteria policy.
  • Implement and manage ERP software to track purchasing, inventory, fulfilment, returns, order/product recalls etc. and dashboard and report progress.
  • To oversee demand planning, procurement, inventory management and warehousing, production, fulfilment and returns/recalls to meet customer demand.
  • Conduct ongoing crossanalysis of the endtoend supply chain to reduce COGS while ensuring an excellent quality of product is maintained.
  • Project management for onboarding of new manufacturers, warehouses, and transportation partners.
  • To lead, motivate and develop a high performing production and fulfilment team to hit deadlines and exceed targets, to the required standards and within budget according to business and customer requirements.
  • To effectively manage and meet budgetary requirements. Proactively identify opportunities to reduce costs across all areas of the operational process.
  • Critically review management capability and ensure development, recruitment and succession plans are in place to scale rapidly, effectively and within budget.
  • Improve and maintain a safe working environment, aiding the creation of SOPs and Risk Assessments in collaboration with the Manufacturing and Fulfilment Manager. In collaboration with our Head of Product Innovation, making sure all those working on site are fully aware of and comply with all Health and Safety standards, company and legal requirements i.e., COSHH, HACCP.
  • Work collaboratively with the Head of Production Engineering and the Manufacturing & Fulfilment Manager to continuously improve production output, throughput and flow.
  • Line management and coaching of Supply Chain and Procurement Executive.
  • Other supply chain or operations related tasks as needed.

The Head of Supply Chain must have:

  • A degree in MSc Supply Chain Management or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous experience in supply chain; demand planning, procurement, warehousing, fulfilment, returns, recalls and other supply chain related activities.
  • Previous experience in operational line management in a food manufacturing or a directtoco
