    • Salary up to £70,000 DOE
    • Rota flexibility

Are you looking for a new challenge? A modern, independent, small animal practice is looking for a vet to join their team due to expansion. If you care deeply about your profession, want to be the best vet you can be and want to marry up your beliefs with a practice that feels the same, this could be the perfect opportunity for you The practice is currently a 2-vet single site with a supportive nursing team. They have lots of facilities such as blood machines, in-house lab, purpose-built imaging suite, state-of-the-art digital x-ray machine capable of taking and developing x-rays within 60 seconds and an ultrasound scanner to name but a few Both vets are keen to teach (one is more medical and has a leadership qualification, the other is more surgical), so there are plenty of learning and development opportunities. If you are looking for a place that cares, where you own your cases, learn, add value, feel appreciated, spend quality time with patients, and see cases through, they have you covered. With a reputation for value, the customer base is respectful and loyal with an understanding of what you do - no angry customers here moaning about price increases You will join a caring team that has struck the right balance of ambition to improve and grow, build the team carefully and not make profits their ultimate driver. This is a close-knit practice where everybody pulls together when there is work and relaxes together when it is time to do so. Expect a varied caseload here with a good mix of consults and surgery, owning your cases, and seeing them through. Ideally, they are looking for someone with at least two years of experience, but ultimately it is an empathetic, caring person they are most interested in. Currently, their vets work 3.75 days per week, 4 days with an early finish, with a 1 in 5 OOHs and weekends rota. You will be paid extra for each patient seen with a Monday off post-weekend work, and those who work a full weekend get a full day back the following week (usually the Monday). The management team understands everyone has different requirements, so they embrace flexible working and are happy to discuss a rota that works best for you. You will be working just a few miles from Chesterfield in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside. If you like the outdoors, The Peak District with its stately homes and historic castles, world-class heritage sites, distilleries, and outdoor adventures is only a short drive away. Or if it is restaurants, shopping, and modern facilities you are after, Chesterfield is on your doorstep with Sheffield and Nottingham nearby. Role:
    • Salary up to £70,000 DOE
    • Full time (4 days a week)
    • 1 in 5 OOHs and weekend rota with TOIL
    • Generous OOHs fees
    Benefits:
    • 25 days holiday + bank holidays + birthday off
    • Professional fees paid
    • Generous CPD allowance
    • Certificate support
